The department of Computer Science and Engineering had arranged this industrial visit as a part of the academic requirement BE(CSE) course, on 10/11/2017 to Almatti Power Generation Computer Centre.

TThe Almatti Dam is a major hydroelectric irrigation project on the Krishna River, which was completed in July 2005.The power station uses vertical Kaplan turbines: five 55MW generators and one 15MW generator.

We were taken inside the computer centre of the power station. The control unit from where all the generating units are taken control of, was shown and explained in detail. We were taught about the actual way in which power is generated. Many of the points were first explained theoretically with the help of animated videos. Later, we were taken inside the generation unit to get a clearer knowledge of the same. The machines have been so efficiently used that there are very few men working in the power station.

We were assisted by lecturers, who helped us understand the things better by clearing all our doubts.

 

SGBIT CSE students visited DRDO (DIAT), PUNE Data Center to get exposure on Defense IT Technologies:

SGBIT, Department of Computer Science and Engineering students and staffs of have visited DRDO (DIAT), Pune, Data center on 28-02-2020. The purpose of the visit was to get exposure on defense IT technologies and computer science applications in defense IT infrastructure. In their visit and full day interaction, students and staffs were gained the practical knowledge on many advanced technologies and its practical implementations in Defense IT infrastructure maintained by Data Center, DIAT. Advanced Technologies such as Cyber security, Digital forensic, Server Virtualization, UTM, Virtual Classrooms, Servers and Storages etc. had demonstrated from Data center operation team. Many theoretical concepts and advanced technologies importance and its applications were understood during the interaction.

 

(CASPL) is one of the Companies of Creintors Group which is an emerging innovation-oriented organisation providing technological solutions in India and abroad.
CASPL was formed in 2017 to cater to the demand of the Indian Manufacturing Sector for providing simple automation/innovation. Since then CASPL has been successfully delivering simple automation for the Indian manufacturing sector. Students visited the campus on 22/10/2022.

Students visited the campus on 25/11/2022 and understood about processes involved in radio stations like editing, and broadcasting of Audio.

Vishwabharati Technologies Pvt Ltd provides training & certification for Operators, Technicians & Engineers to manufacturing companies in all their manufacturing processes. They are also into cost-efficient electronics product design adhering to all the design verification/validation processes. Students visited the company on 13/12/2022.
After completion of the visit, students understood PCB Soldering & De-soldering with various devices, then about DOJO Training (Hand & Eye coordination exercises) with the new system. And Working on Pneumatic systems then PCB Assembly inspection PCB Understand Product Packaging & Barcode Scanning.

The Master Control Facility (MCF) at Hassan in Karnataka monitors and controls all the geostationary satellites of ISRO.
MCF carries out operations related to the initial orbit rising of satellites, in-orbit payload testing, and on-orbit operations throughout the life of these satellites. Students visited MCF on 26/4/2023 and understood how the communication process works, working on the Satellite: parts assembling, launching, disassembling, and signalling to end users and regarding the Process of monitoring & controlling each satellite fromthe station.

. Enerzi Microwave Systems Pvt. Ltd. is the leading brand in manufacturing of industrial Microwave Heating Systems. Students visited on 13/02/2024, where the students understood operations performed in various departments. By seeing the demo of microwave machines, students got thevarious industrial applications. Students also got the knowledge of working methodology and recent technology used in Microwave industries.
