During the time of recruitment most of the leading companies look for technically sound candidates and preference is given to skillful team player who is equipped with different Soft skills, HR techniques, verbal aptitude, personality Development , Communication skills, Interaction skills, Body language and who has undergone the value added courses & Industrial exposure, and also it is observed that the students who have scored high in their academics often fail to be placed in the good companies due to this shortcomings
To prepare the students according to needs of industry and to enhance the placement opportunities, the management is striving hard to mould the better career of every student and Keeping with this motto, we have decided to introduce the various value added training sessions, on personality development, English language skills, verbal aptitude, quantitative aptitude, soft skills, Industry interaction and Industry exposure.
- Bridge Course for I semester (Management students)
Bridge Course for I semester
A bridge course for newly admitted students is conducted every year before the commencement of the first semester classes. The main objective of the course is to bridge the gap between subjects studied at pre-university level and subjects they would be studying in engineering. The syllabus for the course is framed in such a way that equal importance is given to both Engineering discipline and personality development including Soft Skills, Sports and Cultural Activities. The duration of this course is 22 days with 100 hrs.
Syllabus for Mathematics includes concepts learnt at the PU level and also additional concepts which are essential prerequisite for engineering course. Orientation to Computers is aimed at familiarizing the fundamentals of programming languages and thereby enabling them to write small programmes in C language which is a part of I year curriculum. The module on English is aimed at making the students better articulate in English thereby increasing their comprehension level and self confidence. The sessions in the afternoon will be on Soft Skills, Sports and Cultural Activities.
Bridge Course will help the students to have a smooth transition to the Engineering course .The sound grasp of the fundamentals of the engineering subjects lays the strong foundation for the entire four year programme. Our experience has shown that students who underwent the bridge course have fared extremely well in VTU Examinations. Also the students who have attended the bridge course in the previous years have appreciated the initiative of conducting the bridge course.

Value Added Courses: I to IV semester
The college has introduced the training programmes on personality development, social etiquettes, goal setting, positive thinking, prioritizing, study skills, communication, leadership, creativity, skills to improve memory, critical thinking, stress management, time management, organizing seminars, workshops, mini projects and exposure to companies step by step in each semester. The expenditure for all these training classes is borne by the college.
Course on Communicative English
English is a business language accepted globally, and more preferred in the corporate world. To improve English language skills of the students a unique language lab is set up in the college with the most advanced software.
The students can avail the services at the English language lab to improve their command over English language. Phonetics, vocabulary building, confusables, synonyms, antonyms, grammar, verbal aptitude, nonverbal aptitude, conversation, is some of major topics covered in this course.
Exposure to IIIT-Allahabad:
During the vacation of IV semester the selected students will have an opportunity to visit IIIT-Allahabad for their project work. This exposure will help the students for higher studies in IIIT-Allahabad and also placement opportunity (MOU). The duration is of 10-15 days. Also to create a similar facility for other students, the efforts are on to tie-up with some of the reputed industries. The exposure to the industry would help the students to build a rapport that would be useful for their career. If the need to extend the study is felt students can do so. The expenses will be borne by the selected students only.
All expenses of any other industrial visits, industrial tour, seminars, workshops, paper presentation or interaction program will be borne by the students. The college will support the students for organizing such events.
- V to VIII Semester
Value Added Courses: V to VIII semester
- The training programmes offered for these semesters are campus connect program, value added certificate course, soft skills and industry interaction.
- These programmes would enhance the skill level of the students and provide them tremendous scope & opportunity for placement.
- The main advantage of these courses is that the resource persons are from the industry and it would be advantageous for the students as far as their placements and entrepreneurship are concerned.
- As all these programmes are conducted by external institutes, students are required to bear the expenses apart from their regular academic fees in the beginning of the respective semester. These courses are compulsory to all the students.
